La Cañada Unified School District Partners With Paper to Level the Playing Field for All Learners

Students to receive unlimited, 24/7, multilingual academic support from trained tutors.

LCUSD
, a top-rated public school district in California, partners with Paper, the leader in personalized academic support.

This grants students across grades 4-12 access to free academic support in any subject area.

With the new year starting off remotely at LCUSD, there is a heightened need for flexible and personalized online supports for students. Partnering with Paper will help LCUSD in closing the concerning learning gaps between families who can afford private tutoring, and those who cannot.

Chief Technology Officer Jamie Lewsadder said:

What I like most about Paper is the opportunity to extend access to all students in our district. A service like Paper helps level the playing field for all learners. In this challenging time, it's super important to rally and provide resources that meet our district's needs for parents, families, students, and teachers. We believe Paper will be that resource by offering on-demand instructional support when students need it most.

Through Paper’s educational support system, available in English, Spanish, French, and Mandarin, students are provided unlimited 24/7 on-demand help in any subject from a fully vetted Paper tutor, as well as essay review with annotated feedback. Using Socratic instruction methods, students are guided through concepts to find the answers on their own.

Teachers in Paper’s partner organizations have reported seeing an increase in students’ grades since using Paper, and many students have reported feeling more confident with their school work.

As districts build their back to school plans, more and more districts are choosing Paper to increase the amount of instructional time students receive.

We are committed to helping district leaders effectively transition into fall schooling while meeting the growing needs of their students and teachers.
